Why this dataset
The Competition and Markets Authority’s Funerals Market Investigation Order 2021 made every UK funeral director publish a Standardised Price List in a fixed format. Funeral Cost Index is, to our knowledge, the first project to capture, normalise, and structure those lists at national scale. The result is a like-for-like dataset of UK funeral pricing that didn’t previously exist.
We refresh provider profiles continuously, classify by ownership group, geocode every branch, and version-control every price change. The Intelligence product surfaces that dataset as reports, charts, and exports designed for professional use.
